Student Health Insurance

Expanish *highly* recommends that all students have comprehensive international health and travel insurance abroad for the full duration of their program. For those who wish to purchase insurance, Expanish has teamed up with CareMed International to offer students two comprehensive travel and medical insurance packages at affordable monthly rates to ensure international coverage for our students. Plans for insurance abroad include medical, legal and technical services, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and are valid for study in Argentina, along with travel around South America.

If you do not take out a policy through Expanish, please check with your regular health insurance provider that you will be covered for the entire duration of your time abroad. Please also be sure of the claims process and whether or not you will be covered under your or a family members’ plan as a student in another country.

Expanish works with CareMed International to ensure each of our students is covered during the duration of their stay with us in Latin America. If you would like to purchase international student health insurance for your stay in Buenos Aires through Expanish/CareMed, please click on the CareMed banner above, which will take you to the CareMed website. There you can select the health insurance plan of your choice as an Expanish student. Spanish students will be covered while attending courses in our Expanish school in Argentina, or while traveling around the countried of South America. Details of coverage available are as follows:

Coverage meets or exceeds all standard requirements for J-1 visa programs. These monthly premiums can be used for, but are not limited to: Au Pair, High School Exchange, Trainee, Internship & Language Programs, & Personal Travel. Short or long-term policies with worldwide coverage. Early return reimbursement is possible.

Monthly Premiums for CareMed Bronze Package: $75.50USD

Coverage meets or exceeds all standard requirements for J-1 visa programs. These monthly premiums can be used for, but are not limited to: Au Pair, High School Exchange, Trainee, Internship & Language Programs, & Personal Travel. Short or long-term policies with worldwide coverage. Early return reimbursement is possible.
