Tourist Visas
All students planning to take a course at Expanish are advised to check their national consulate websites to confirm whether they are required to organize a visa in advance of traveling.
Depending on their nationality, some students may be required to apply for a student visa if studying Spanish in Argentina on a program over 90 days in duration.
Student Visas
Most of our students enter the country on a tourist visa, which typically lasts 90 days and can be renewed for a second 90 days after arrival.
Repricocity Fee
Argentina has a Reciprocity Tax for anyone travelling with a passport from the United States, Canada or Australia. It is is based upon the cost for an Argentine citizen to get a tourist visa in each country.
Upon arrival at the Ezeiza airport, students will have to pay the following fees:
- USA: US$160 (lasts for 10 years or expiration date of passport)
- Canada: US$75 (for one entry) or US$150 (lasts for 5 years)
- Australia: US$100
It is payable in cash in pesos or US dollars, with a credit or debit card, or with travellers’ checks and collection is only at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE).
