Medical Spanish for Health Care Professionals
Expanish offers a Medical Spanish course for those interested in learning the language to aid in their professional development within the health care field. The course consists of individual lessons so the content can cater to each individual's needs.
This course is a combination of our Intensive Spanish 20 program with 4 hours of additional private lessons. The group classes will focus on general Spanish skills while the private lessons are related to medicine. It is designed to help doctors, nurses and other health care workers to improve their Spanish language skills and vocabulary, and aid in cultural competence. Professionals who speak multiple languages have many more job opportunities and advantages, and this is especially true for doctors and nurses. Students will focus on vocabulary in their specific field and practice skills related to tasks they will have to perform on a daily basis. This allows students to become comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking patients and colleagues.
To give a better idea of what can be learned through the Medical Spanish course we have put together some example currícular modules.
