Our teaching methods at Expanish Spanish School Buenos Aires

Our aim is to provide high quality Spanish language courses to students via a selection of language programs. An emphasis is placed on developing students’ language skills so they can speak and understand the language.

Below is a list of methods used to ensure students reach their Spanish language goals successfully:

How students will learn Spanish

The teaching method we use at Expanish is called the Communicative Method, which involves learning the language via speaking and interacting. The classes encourage the development of four key skills (speaking, writing, Reading and listening), via different interactions such as teaching in small groups, in pairs or via interactive class discussions.

During the classes students are presented with a variety of texts exploring Argentina’s culture, current affairs and issues that will interest students. Our professional and friendly teachers will provide the necessary support to help the students build their on their vocabulary, work on their grammar and improve their writing and speaking.

Speak Spanish as much as possible

The more students practice speaking and are exposed to people speaking it, the faster they will develop confidence in speaking and understanding. We encourage our students to use Spanish as much as possible outside of class. To facilitate this, we offer

  • A program of activities every day during the week
  • Teaching in locations around Buenos Aires such as traditional bars, museums and historic sights together with your teacher and classmates
  • Accommodation placements with Spanish speaking families or in shared accommodation with Spanish speakers
  • Regular homework given by teachers to ensure new grammar and vocabulary become more memorable

Speaking to people as much as possible, including classmates and homestay families as well as reading and listening to materials of interest, such as newspapers and radio programs will maximize learning development during students' time in Buenos Aires

Professional Teachers

Our teachers' goal is to make sure students learn the most Spanish possible in the shortest possible time. Our teachers are recruited and trained to give lessons that are structured and informative whilst being fun and interesting. Our teachers provide guidance and ongoing support to students, helping to build their confidence and giving constant feedback on their learning process.

Class Atmosphere

Students learn more when they feel confident and comfortable, which is why our classes are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, enabling students to feel confident when talking in Spanish

Intercambio cultural

We are careful to ensure a balanced mix of student nationalities to ensure students studying at Expanish meet a broad range of people from around the world and are able to practice their Spanish with one another

Teaching Framework

All of our programs are aligned with and based on the Cervantes Institute. The curriculum and teaching plans are framed by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

At the beginning of each week, students will receive details of the academic program including objectives, course content and bibliographies
