Arriving in Buenos Aires – Expanish Volunteer
Volunteers arriving to volunteer with Expanish are provided with a number of support services including pre-arrival pack, welcome pack and optional airport pick-up
Arrival in BA
Expanish airport collection
On arrival in BA, volunteers can choose the additional option of an airport pickup, where they will be met at the Buenos Aires International or domestic airport and transported to their accommodation by hired car. We recommend this option as it ensures safe and fast transfer from the airport directly to the volunteer’s accommodation.
Alternatively, students can make their own way from the airport. Buenos Aires main international airport is Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) and is 35km from the center of Buenos Aires.
Private Shuttle Bus
Manuel Tienda Leon operates a shuttle bus service direct to the city center. Buses run every half an hour and cost $50 one way. On arrival at the bus station, Volunteers will have to make their own way to their accommodation by taxi or public transport.
Public Bus
Bus 86 operates between the airport and central Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo. Please note, this option takes at least 2 hours with buses making regular stops and not well equipped for carrying a large amount of luggage.
